RBC Network is a British-Robloxian television company owned by TheMagRBLX. RBC was founded on March 9, 2014 as a pre-launch operation, then was officially launched on September 7, 2014, and, following a three year hiatus, relaunched on October 19, 2017.

History

RBC Network was founded on March 9, 2014, and it originally started as a Robloxian parody of Cartoon Network; however, the former owner and manager of the channel, tomtim365 didn't necessarily understand the programming and format of Cartoon Network. Due to the existence of a similarly-aimed kids' outlet, GN2, owned by Gavent Television Group (ultimately folded into rTV Networks' rTV3 in November 2014 after the acquisition of GTG through rTV Networks Gavent), RBC Network became an entertainment and news channel, similar to BBC One.

On July 25, 2014, co-owner of RBC, dragonfruit348 announced the unofficial slogan of RBC Network, "Live. Laugh. Love!". Dragon explained the meaning of the slogan at the time of its announcement: "'Live' is entertainment and news, 'Laugh' is entertainment, [and] 'Love' is entertainment."

It was announced that BBC Robloxia would rebrand as RBC on November 5, 2017, but after a hard drive failure, they rebranded corporately as RBC and changed it's main Twitter account to @robloxiasrbc early on October 19.

RBC's flagship channel, RBC One, launched on November 5, 2017. Following that, RNT was revived to operate under the company, and a rebrand of Cool TV occurred, relaunching unofficially as RBC Cool.

RBC Encore (formerly Movie Time) is a movie block that focuses on playing movies without commercials, including some movies that have never aired on television before. The block was created by TheMagnificientMan and DragonDipperBlossom (formerly dragonfruit348.)

Subsequently, after Dragon was fired from the original incarnation of RBC, he went on to create Roblox Movie Channel, which originally had a similar concept to RBC Encore, but as it's own channel, having no relation toRBC at the time.

Criticism and controversy

On March 26, 2015, MichaellsGr8 stole the RBC group from TheMagRblx, without his permission nor consent.

Buddbudd222, usually on the receiving end of criticism, criticized RBC due to the fact that the program formats of RBC's shows are copied from other networks, and that he believes tomtim365 is trying to give payback after an incident occurring a year ago. Buddbudd222 had a show on BBN called Buddbudd Morning, which was canceled due to changes in the lineup for the new year. Tomtim365 was fired at the show's cancelation due to the fact that he was spamming in efforts to promote the show.

On June 20, 2014, Werten25 (then-owner of RBC Network Spain) made a "unofficial" announcement of regarding the idents. Werten said at this statement "On 30 June, RBC Network will receive new "Neon" idents which will replace the current ones which have been used since September 2010." Before that statement was released, it was mentioned that TheMagnificientMan, the former owner of RBC Network, could be coming back as owner, in a conversation with Vice Leader dragonfruit348 regarding the future headquarters and studios while dragon was sending decals of pictures of the HQ. TheMagnificientMan replied at one point "Still pending, by the way i used to be owner until tomtim365 just pfft made this group, and COPIED Me. I shouldn't given [sic] it to Werten he wont [sic] make any idents." As a result, Werten began ignoring him, with Mag saying giving the group to Werten was a mistake. Mag officially returned as owner in March 2015.
